How to operate an eWater Standalone System
Operating your eWater Standalone System is as simple as using a coffee machine — once you know the basics, it becomes second nature.
This guide walks you through how the system works, how to use it day to day, and how to apply each solution safely and effectively.
The video below is the primary training resource and should be watched in full before operating the system.
Training Video: Operating the eWater Standalone System
Overview: What this training covers
This training is broken into three simple sections:
-
How the system works
-
How to operate the system
-
How and where to use each solution
You don’t need any technical background — the system is designed to be intuitive, safe, and easy to operate.
1. How the eWater Standalone System works
The eWater Standalone System is an on-site, on-demand generator of cleaning and sanitising solutions. It uses:
-
Tap water
-
A salt brine
-
Electricity
Through a process called electrolysis, these ingredients are converted into two separate solutions:
-
A cleaning solution
-
A sanitising solution
These solutions are produced fresh, on demand, at the press of a button — with no need to store or handle traditional chemicals.
If you’re interested in deeper technical detail, please contact the eWater team. This article focuses on operation, not chemistry.
2. How to operate the system
Step 1: Power on
-
Ensure the unit has power.
-
Press the power button to start the system.
Step 2: Confirm the system is running
-
Look for a steady green light on the sensor underneath the unit.
-
A steady green light means the system is actively producing solution.
Step 3: Identify which solution is being produced
-
The system alternates sides approximately every 12 operating hours as part of a self-cleaning cycle.
-
At any time, one side will be producing cleaner, and the other sanitiser.
Simple check:
-
Sanitiser side: slight chlorine smell
-
Cleaner side: slippery feel on the skin
This is a normal and safe way to confirm which solution you’re using.
